OEG – Open Edition Gallery is a new online platform that aims to create a virtuous system based on the sale of open edition prints that can nurture and promote the work of Italian photographers and authors and maintain an identity dear to the tradition of the social use of photography. Photography has always had a social and informational role. In the years of the digital image its role has not diminished, but the continuous flow of images has channeled much of its enjoyment towards entertainment, relegated to a few the pleasure of the materiality of the printed image and deprived many of the meditative and symbolic value of the single image, of the photographic object.
A digital dissemination action that spread the message through all the authors involved. More than 250 authors contributed with their images to the development of the platform.
100 FOTGRAFI X BERGAMO
100 photographs to help Bergamo Hospital cope with the Covid-19 emergency. During the 2020 quarantine period, many people rallied to support the Italian health care system severely tested by the Coronavirus emergency. Perimeter is also promoting an initiative in favor of the intensive care and resuscitation department of the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo, the city most dramatically affected by the epidemic. Through our community we can support those who are bravely standing on the front lines of the health emergency. We have asked 100 authors from the world of fashion, art, architecture, and portrait photography to donate one of their prints; by purchasing them you will help us strengthen the intensive care unit of the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital. Perimeter and liveinslums will donate the entire proceeds from each photograph to the hospital.
Development with Leddi SRL & Liveinslums
